Ben Kane's Hannibal - Enemy of Rome

This was one of Ben Kane's better works. Generally I have not always been impressed but this is worth the read. It's nicely written with some very good characterisation. the central character is good and he is certainly taken out of his comfort zone, which makes for an interesting read. The plot is lively with some good twists. It had the feel for the period and depicted Roman life well. Overall, a good read.
