OK I'm a bit of a Star Trek fan but this was absolutely fabulous. There is nostalgia from the original series that makes me a little biased, but what isn't there to like. The relationship between Jim and Spock is dealt with very well and you can see the tie binding them grow throughout the film.
Dominic Cumberbatch is an awesome villain. The story ties in with the one of the original films, but because of timelines being changed the plots are new and completely different. Not sure about the brief glimpse of the Klingons as it seems once again their faces have changed? Strange race of people.
10 out of 10 for a brilliant film and awesome storyline.
